Winning Studio!

Urban Culture Project’s first biennial open studios was a huge success in December! Hope to see everyone again in May. Here are images from the  pARTnership studios during the opening reception.

Visitors were encouraged to vote for the best studio space and best individual studio, also new to the program.

Congratulations to Kate Clements for winning the top prize!

She sure did deserve it for her adorable retail shop and impeccable exhibition display. What I wonder is, how did Town Pavilion spend their winnings?

Urban Culture Project’s Car Pool Crew

Urban Culture Project’s residents are all encouraged to interact by initiating different groups and activities.  Gatherings have included anything  from critiques, to reading groups, potlucks, or motivating artists to see shows outside the city limits. Last December,  Molly Kaderka gathered a group of residents to road trip to the Crystal Bridges Museum of Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. For February they traveled to Lawrence, Kansas to see a two person exhibition featuring UCP mentor Lee Piechocki and Matt Jacobs at the Wonder Fair.
